  3. Support for specific actions | Give a helping hand on temporary interventions.

The team counts on specialists from different fields of study related to themes inherent to urban planning, architecture, heritage, anthropology, sociology, biology, art, economics, engineering, history and lighting. Each investigation or intervention results in a specific configuration which involves those professionals ('satelites') according to the characteristics of the topic to be developed.

Nocturno | Research \ Intervention is a multidisciplinary team interested in proposing enlightened environments that stimulate the nocturnal use of urban public spaces as tool for conviviality. This objective will be traced by investigation and an in-depth analysis of different areas of action that, by identifying several social, ecological, economic and normative factors, allows for a better understanding and appreciation of the area to be intervened.

"Urbanism is defined as the set of knowledge relating to planning, development, reform and extension of buildings and spaces of cities. Urbanism is, therefore, a concept applicable to urban and ornamental lighting considering the ability of light to model objects, organize scenes and generate sensations (...) is a concept that reflects the need to plan the use of artificial light as an essential element in the visual order of a city."

What is Nocturno?
How do we work?

Information

Nocturno, emerges as a research and intervention platform to analyze the nocturnal dynamics comprising a city, getting to know the experiences that are created or avoided in it, understanding the confused and to show its potential.
